24th August 2017 – School visit to promote Oral Health and Nutrition in Mfuleni, Cape Town.
We engaged with 3- and 4-year old children at the Early Childhood Development Centre, educating the children about Oral Health, the importance of brushing and how to brush. Samples of toothpastes and toothbrushes, generously provided by Colgate, were given to all children as a first step in Oral Health Promotion.
26th September 2018 – School visit celebrating Oral Health Month in Langa, Cape Town
Engaging with 5 to 7-year old learners at Thembani Primary School and Siyabulela Primary School. Emphasising the importance of brushing, Oral Hygiene techniques and determining the Oral Health knowledge of the learners.
20th March 2020, World Oral Health Day. Awaiting access to schools for on-site treatments.
The Covid-19 Pandemic prevented engagements at the schools and centres, and subsequent on-site treatments with our mobile dental chair and treatment unit.
7th December 2022 – Oral Check-ups at Thembani Primary School, Langa
Oral health screening at Thembani Primary School with Grade R learners. Many of the learners had never been to the dentist before and some poor oral health was prevalent.
9th May 2025 – Oral Health Screenings & Preventative Treatments at
Husseland Pre-Primary School, Tygerberg
Oral health screening at Husseland Pre-Primary School with 3 to 6 year old learners. Polishing and Fluoride Treatments were provided for each learner as well as brushing kits (Toothbrush and Toothpastes), sponsored by Curaprox. The learners enjoyed what was for many, their first dental experience!
23rd May 2025 – Oral Health Screenings at Christel House, Ottery, Cape Town.
Oral health screenings of the learners from Christel House – Grades R, 1, 2 & 3. The learners enjoyed a fantastic interaction with the dental team, learning about the importance of Oral Health, Brushing and eating Healthily.
